About Briar ...

Briar Brady writes Regency romance for readers who delight in elegant storytelling grounded in authenticity. Inspired by Jane Austen’s wit and Georgette Heyer’s sparkle, her novels centre on heroines of intelligence and determination, finding their place amidst the complexities of early nineteenth-century society.

Her first series, Heirs and Graces, is only the beginning. Each book is shaped by careful research into the period - its manners, politics, and daily rhythms - so that the world feels true to its time, even when imagination fills the spaces history has left untold. Briar brings to life the nuances of Regency England without compromising on romance, irony, or charm.

With more series already in the making, she invites readers to step into her world of candlelit parlours, whispered intrigues, and heroines who expect far more than society intended - and are all the more captivating for it.

Welcome Dear Reader!

I write for those who, like me, delight in elegant prose and the sly observations of society at its most glittering. Within these pages you will discover Regency romances where intelligent, determined heroines step into the light and claim their place at the centre of the story.

Each book follows a remarkable young woman’s path through love, challenge, and self-discovery in the early 1800s. I try to tell these tales with all the wit and warmth I so admire in the literature of the period, weaving together romance, irony, and a touch of scandal.

If you enjoy clever conversation, steadfast heroines, and heroes who must learn that love is never quite what they expected, then I believe you will feel very much at home here.
